In addition, Silver Forest earrings arrived yesterday! These earrings are hand crafted in Vermont and are very unique. The philosophy of Silver Forest of Vermont is to create wearable art that transcends fashion trends. They are very pretty and fun too!
Silver Forest earrings are made of lightweight copper/brass and the stones are semi-precious (garnet, onyx, amethyst, jasper, etc.). The finishes are tarnish resistant and the earwires are all a high quality surgical steel base with a durable 18K gold finish. There is NO NICKEL used in the plating process, so Silver Forest earwires are certified nickel-free. This is a significant benefit to metal sensitive customers who can buy these earrings with confidence.
Once you see these earrings you are very likely to want a pair! Silver Forest will also give you one free pair of your choice earrings after 5 pairs are purchased.
Happy shopping!

I've been telling many of you that have visited/frequented Grande Trunke Home that Uttermost, a company that designs, develops and produces beautiful home decor items, including lamps, mirrors, tabletop accessories and wall decor will be introducing a line of small accent furniture. It was announced today in Home Accents Today - www.homeaccentstoday.com. The excerpt reads:

Uttermost will make its accent furniture debut in High Point this April, after nearly a year in development.
The 50-piece furniture introduction includes everything from stacking tables to tall chests to upholstered chairs. All furniture is either in stock or will be by late April.
“We could not be more excited about our new furniture,” said Mac Cooper, president. “We have some really cool items.”
Cooper credits Francois Degueurce and Matthew Williams with the creative vision. Both Degueurce and Williams have a long history of designing and developing upscale furniture.
END
Grande Trunke Home will definitely be carrying many of these new introductions and I will be sure to let you know when it arrives in the store.
Be sure to check the blog regularly for updates on new product arrivals, trends, events and special sales.

I recently had an opportunity to be interviewed by Jeanine Matlow, a former Ford Motor Company employee who now writes independently for many different news publications. "Decorating for the Senses" was the topic and it was published in a special advertising section for the Free Press last Friday, March 7 (attached is scanned copy).
When you think of decorating you generally don't think about using your senses, at least not 4 out of the 5 of them, however when I started describing some of the items Grande Trunke Home carries; slate and copper boxes and lamps, lamps that have amazing shades in a variety of fabrics and texures (suede, damask, silk, linen, fringe embellisments), candles in a variety of scents and textures, including candles on a rope and even hand-painted glassware, you begin to realize that adding these type of items to your home truly makes a home feel like a home - warming, inviting, a special "I'm home" smell.
And with spring right around the corner, we will hopefully all feel invigorated again with the "spring" time senses - trees and flowers budding and blooming, grass coming back up and greening, seeing the sun for more than a day, birds chirping and on and on.
I know I feel so much better with the sun out and the weather warming, and I change my decor in my home by the season. Just adding a new floral or greenery or bringing out a glass vase to sit on the window sill really gives your home a different feeling. It's always good to make small changes. It provides a new level of interest and can even change your perspective about the space.
With all the talk about spring. our spring arrivals are in! Be sure to stop by and check out the new scented spring votives which include Hydrangea, Magnolia, White Gardenia and even Hunny Bunny for Easter. We also have many wonderful florals and decorative moss, seed, boxwood and berry balls. And don't forget Easter - Easter Bunnies that look like real chocolate bunnies, easter bunny candy jars, easter eggs, votive holders and much more!
