I will be heading down to Atlanta this Thursday, January 10 to the AmericasMart Atlanta to attend the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishing Mart. It is the largest permanent wholesale marketplace of its kind in the world!
My visit will start with a trip to Nadeau where they have very unique anique furniture reproductions from Asia. If you have been in Grande Trunke Home you have seen the teal and red pieces, very beautiful and only one of a kind pieces. From Nadeau I will be at the Mart from morning until very late in the evening searching out new vendors that carry very different gift and hone decor items that you will not find in your typical larger retailers. My objective is to provide you with high quality decor and gifts that are the "one of a kind" type! Of course, I will also be visiting with my current vendors who will be showing holiday decor for this coming Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I know we just finished the season, however, to get the best products you have to order months and months in advance.
Be sure to check back often as I will be keeping a journal of my day to day experiences and will share these with you along with photos! In addition, Grande Trunke Home will hold several upcoming in-store events so be sure to check the website regularly, as well as my blog.

My good friends know I have a special passion for beautiful and fun drinking glasses. I just can’t get myself to drink out of plastic cups! Meeting the President, CEO, and Chief Designer, Helen James; the creator of beautiful hand-crafted wine, martini, beer and cordial glasses made my day! They have been out only a very short time; however are doing extremely well in the market. The showroom had on display the new glasses for Valentine’s Day and spring, which I just had to order for the store.

After a quick bagel and coffee I arrived at the Gift Mart. My first stop was to a Manufacturer that had 100’s of new items in their fall line/winter line. The large metal Jack-O-Lanterns with handles caught my eye, 3 different sizes; what a great Halloween/Fall find! I jotted down several other items to purchase, a large iron piece that could be used as a headboard or to drape fabric through, pickled patina furniture pieces; a new trend that I’ve already seen in many of the showrooms. The finish has a tint of blue/grey similar to the blonde wood that was popular many years back. It’s really beautiful!
